Hi darlings! I hope you haven’t forgotten about me? I sure have not forgotten you, although it might seem like that (I’m sorry). I’m currently watching "Barbie in the Pink Shoes" and adore it SO MUCH. I haven’t been a fan of the new movies, but since there’s few things I love as much as ballet.. well, I absolutly love this movie. There’s a lot of heart in it.
I’m opening the confessions / ask box now, so if you have any confessions, feel free to submit them, but please read the FAQ first.
Lots and lots of love.
P.S A week ago this tumblr turned two years old! Can’t believe it has been so long.
"My favorite villains are the Mouse King from ‘Nutcracker’ and Philippe from ‘Three Musketeers’, just because Tim Curry voices them."
"The scariest and most ugly character in the Barbie movies for me was that pink turtle from ‘Mermaidia’. My sister and I screamed when we saw that face shot."
"I hate having to hide my love for Barbie movies from friends because they think it’s childish. Couldn’t even put on Facebook how excited I was to be watching ‘Barbie and the Pink shoes’."
"Knowing that the more recent Barbie movies like ‘Barbie: A Fashion Fairytale’ and ‘Barbie in A Mermaid Tale’ are drawing more of the audience to watch Barbie than the past ones did left my heart shattered. Don’t just be impressed at the superficial, look into the moral, the lessons Barbie’s trying to teach! Don’t get me wrong: I love these movies as much as I love the older ones, but I’d hate to think that Mattel is going to be making the movies shallow and lacking depth just to gain more profit."
"My sister and I used to reenact practically every scene in ‘The Princess and the Pauper’! By far my very favorite Barbie movie."
"I grew up watching Disney, and I just got hooked up with Dreamworks and Barbie movies since I was in high school. My classmates (I mean ALL of them) love to watch Barbie movies whenever we go into a slumber party. Now that I’m a graduating college student, I’m wondering if they still watch Barbie movies. Haha, I’m just too ashamed to admit that I still watch Barbie movies up to this date."
"I love both Kelly Sheridan and Diana Kaarina for Barbie’s voice actress. Kelly Sheridan fits the princess and magical Barbie roles, and Diana fits the more modern Barbie roles. I think they’re both perfect for Barbie’s voice."
"The idea of using Barbie’s hair bun in ‘The Nutcracker’ as Kristyn Farraday’s harstyle in ‘The Pink Shoes’ brings me that feeling of nostalgia. Later that I realized ‘Swan Lake’ was made 10 years ago, and now "The Pink Shoes" will once again use Tchaikovsky’s music.
